Favorite Band When I was 13: Billy Joel

I was first driven to music because of my love for songwriting. I remember specific moments during my childhood when there were challenges I didn't know how to process, my response would be to write songs about them. Throughout school I took every opportunity I had to learn any instrument I could put my hands on. I attended the University of Southern Maine where I concentrated in composition. In addition to MAMM I teach general music, concert band, songwriting, modern band, and chorus at three elementary schools in RSU 3. When I'm not teaching I play, write, and record a diverse array of music including rock, folk, electronic, and classical music.
