Amie Milo Memorial Fund
In tribute to her unwavering support of the arts, the Amie Milo Memorial Fund has been established through the Maine Academy of Modern Music. The purpose of the fund is to underwrite tickets to MAMM concerts for individuals 18 and under.
Amie Christine (Lavway) Milo grew up in Washburn, Maine, where she honed her quick wit, sharp humor, and remarkable ability to make everyone around her laugh while also prompting them to think more deeply about life. She studied opera at the University of Maine in Orono, and music became the thread that wove through every chapter of her story.
Amie had a gift for viewing the world through a unique lens of humor, wonder, and irreverence. Amie's proudest role was being a mother, sharing her deep love of music with her son as both mentor and enthusiastic supporter.
This fund removes cost barriers so young musicians can share their performances with friends, and any young person can discover live music without worrying about the ticket price.
Help expand this legacy; every contribution means more free concerts for kids in our community.
The Maine Academy of Modern Music is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This Giving Tuesday, your donation will directly support the Amie Milo Memorial Fund, an initiative that removes financial barriers to live music for young people.
